Project Manager - Greater Chicago Area
The Residential Products Manager is responsible for all sales, educational, and buying activities necessary to the accelerate the growth and profitability of the company’s residential flooring products business. Residential products include pre-finished hardwood, vinyl, laminate, carpet pad, and related sundries. More specifically:
Curation - Maintain vendor relations and search for ways to keep our product offerings relevant and forward-thinking. Stay abreast of trends in the category, and ensure we have the products and solutions relevant to our dealer base.
Training - Responsible for the training of the Company’s sales and customer service staff in product knowledge, features and benefits, and correct applications of our Residential Flooring products.
Mentoring - Run with company salespeople to close key opportunities in the field. Keep abreast of our competitor’s products, features, benefits, and pricing strategies on the ground.
Coaching - Assist salespeople with their questions, customer issues, and pricing strategy concerns.
Communication - Coordinate with the Company’s executive staff to insure they are appraised of current market conditions.
Desired Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate has experience as a Buyer, as well as Sales Managementexperience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, and a keen analytical acumen. The ideal candidate will have successfully mentored salespeople and knows how to strategize to win a competitive environment.
